"Seen this?
Channel 4 - 100 Greatest Albums
Radiohead's number one, obviously and wrongly, and Dido's No Angel comes higher than anything by Jeff Buckley, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Wonder, Kraftwerk, Talking Heads, Marvin Gaye, Public Enemy, James Brown or Elvis Presley.
Oasis come higher than anything by The Beatles!
Madonna and Guns N'Roses come higher than Revolver or The White Album.
amazing..."

I would be interested in seeing how this list was compiled - I cannot believe that there can be a list of the top 100 albums with no albums by black musicians in the top 20 - with the single exception of Michael Jackson and Thriller - he was still black when he released that, wasn't he? Where's BB King? James Brown? NWA? Ray Charles? The first bona fide black musician is Bob Marley, at number 23.
All of these lists are more or less prone to corruption due to the fact that the people giving the information are self-selecting. Not that that's a terribly bad thing. If someone was to do a poll of music actually played in a household, our family's vote would go to Chaz and Dave's Party Album, which would cause untold shame and quite possibly plagues of biblical proportions. But come on, guys, give black musicians a little more credit...
